About Maximizing Potential In Japan International School
Our school is for students whose academic performance does not match their potential.
Our second school year, 2017 – 2018, has begun. September 1, 2017 to June 15, 2018.
The MPIJ IA school day begins at 9:00 am and full-day sessions finish at 3:00 pm.
Lunch is eaten together, both the students and teachers.
Half days are available from 9:00 am to 11:30 pm or 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Lunch can be added before or after a half-day, if the student and family would like.
With our multi-age student range, different students are sometimes working on their own individual goals and targets.
Teacher-guided focus is available for students that need encouragement to continue what they are doing, and are available when questions arise or clarification is needed.
Some students are fully autonomous with their academics and simply ask the teacher to check their work when they are ready to share what they have completed.
MPIJ IA offers academics courses from Kindergarten up to Grade 12 in the traditional way, which is in-person, in our classrooms.
MPIJ IA also offers academics from Grade 5 up to Grade 12 through a blended on-line program based out of Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. The name of the school is called Clonlara.
